Declaring His Power

Muyiwa, Premier Radio's Gospel Tonight presenter and Riversongz released their second album in November 2005. Muyiwa previously recorded 'Restoration', in 2002, with his band Riversongz. The worship leader told Christian Herald recently, "The fact that my life experiences are different from others means I bring something fresh to the Christian narrative.

On the cultural level there's the African vista, whilst on the Christian level, my experience of starting in the Church of England and ending up in the Pentecostal circle has allowed me to appreciate the importance of the symbolic nature of music and worship."

Restoration

Listeners to London's Premier Radio have become very well acquainted with Muyiwa Olarewaju, who took over from Benny King as host of the station's highly popular nightly Gospel show.

But before Premier unleashed his dulcet tones on the capital, Muyiwa and producer Eddie Martin had recorded Restoration: a live praise & worship album, recorded at the Apostolic Church All Nations Centre in London last year.

Critics have been almost unanimous in their praise of Restoration, which features such gems as "Your Loving Kindness" and "Our God Is Good".
